Finally back to the series on using the PLR articles to generate content sites. Last time I discussed ways to generate traffic and now it is time to start looking at your monetization.
I usually start with Adsense because it is easy but as soon as I see that I am getting traffic it is time to look to change that up.
One of the things I like about Market Samurai is that I can track what type of rankings I am getting and I can see what and who my competition is. When I go look at the sites I am competing with I am always looking for how they are monetizing their sites.
Paying attention to the various affiliate offers they are promoting can give me a good idea of what is working in that niche. This si very true when you see more than one promoting the same offer.
At the same time I am also watching my analytics and seeing what people are typing in to find my site. This will do two things. It will show me potential topics to grow the site. Looking at the other pages on Google for that search will give me more ideas on potential ideas for monetization.
Now as I set up the various offers I want to make sure that I am tracking the offers so I can see which ones make sales and which ones don’t. You need to be tracking the results so you can change the offers to maximize your income. Because of that clicks don’t matter as much as the end result.
From this point on it is only a matter of tweaking your offers to maximize your return and expanding your keywords to add more content.
My initial goal is to get the site to making $3 a day on average. If after a couple of months I have been able to get traffic but can not convert it I may have made a mistake in picking my niche so it is time to move on.
But the ones that work will continue to get love and affection to increase them. Now go start putting the plr articles cluttering your hard drive to use.

Nicole Dean is the owner of Easy PLR and one of the sources I use regularly for finding quality PLR articles. Not the emphasis on quality because there is a lot of junk out there. Hope this helps you understand PLR better.
Check out Easy PLR for great PLR and some freebies too.
Back to the continuation of the series next time.

This series continues the last time I discussed getting the site set up so now you need traffic. Here are 6 ways to get traffic to your new site.
Articles
Podcasts
Videos
Bookmarking
Squidoo
Hub Pages
All of these except the bookmarking are relatively easy because you already have content created. Now it is time to repurpose it.
Articles
A slight rewrite of your articles gives you an easy way to have an article that you can submit to the directories. If money is tight make sure you submit to Ezine Articles. If you can afford it a submission service like Content Crooner can get you great distribution easily.
Podcasts
You are using a blog if you are following this series so add Podpress plugin to your blog and go grab Audacity. Read your articles and use Audacity to create an mp3 which you can add to your blog and Podpress will distribute it for you. Add your podcast feed into the various podcast directories and you have a great traffic source.
Videos
Take your articles and import them into power point. Open Camtasia or Cam Studio and record while you read the slides. You now have a video to submit to the directories. You can use Tube Mogul to upload it to quite a few for free.
Bookmarking
Bookmark your sites to your favorites. You can use a service like OnlyWire to automate some of this. One thing with bookmarking, make sure you are bookmarking more than just your sites. Bookmarking quality sites regularly increases the chances that people will follow your recommendations.
Squidoo
Create a lens on your topic, use your articles and videos for content of your lens. Add your site rss feed as part of your lens.
Hub Pages
Very similar to Squidoo and you will repurpose your content here once again.
So there are 6 ways to generate traffic most of them by just repurposing the content you already have available.
Want an easy step by step plan to take your blog posts and make them articles, videos and podcasts check out the Sunday Night Cash Plan.
Next time I’ll discuss improving your monetization as you start to get traffic.

Well last time I discussed doing the keyword research so today we put that to use. First find a good keyword rich domain for your primary keyword.
Next I will use Expert WordPress to install a blog on my Host Gator account. It saves me time and the theme is ready for Adsense with one setting change and needs only a few minimal; settings to be tweaked.
Time to start posting so get my keyword tree and pick the first long tail keyword in the first category from the keyword tree. Search through the articles and find one that is similar to that specific keyword and use that as a basis to rewrite it quickly.
Tag the post with the long tail keyword, the category keyword and the main keyword and post it. Continue through the long tail keywords then finally the category keyword. Rinse and repeat over time until I have finished all the keywords in that order.
Once I have 10 or so posts on the blog I will pay someone to start adding each post into my traffic bug account which will bookmark and submit the main site to the various directories.
This will get some traffic started from the bookmarking and I will start looking at where traffic is coming from after the first month in my analytics account.
Following this it is easy to add 3 posts a day in less than an hour and if you are quick a half hour a day. You will get faster as you do more because you will be getting a better understanding of the niche.
Next time I will discuss driving traffic once I have the bulk of the initial posts done.

Last post about using PLR articles I went through how I can use them for creating a new list building system. Today I’ll start (yes just start because it will be a multi-part series) on how I use them to create niche sites.
Now I belong to Expert Content Monthly and get 12 topics each month with about 25 articles on each topic. The first thing I do is start running each topic through Market Samurai to find out which ones look to be the most profitable.
Now you can do this without buying software and I went over how to do that in EZ Keyword Research but the time savings if you are doing this regularly make the purchase of quality software a no brainer.
For me I will usually do no more than 3 of the 12 and look for the topics that are generating the highest ad words cost at least initially.
Once I find a high paying topic the next step is to find 6- 8 keywords that are mid range competitive but the most profitable at least from the aspect what advertisers are willing to spend.
Each of those 6 – 8 keywords I will drill down further looking for profitable phrases with good traffic and low competition. If I can’t find long tail words that are relatively easy to rank for I will go to a different topic.
If I can find them I build my keyword tree. The keyword tree will look like this.
Then go look for a keyword rich domain on my topic. This is just the first step and will get into step 2 next time. Any questions or improvements you can suggest just leave a comment.

Last time I talked about the ways to use private label rights articles for a variety of things. One of those was to use them to create an e-course. This is to allow you to clear some of the digital dust collectors on your hard drive.
This morning I took the articles on SEO that I purchased from Easy PLR and put them to work.
First I installed a blog and uploaded the articles there. Added some banners to the side of the blog and set up password protection for the blog. I will go through and tweak the content and embed affiliate links in the content where appropriate.
Once the blog was up I set up my autoresponder to deliver the lessons and give subscribers the user name and password so that they can access the blog. (For more on how to use WordPress in a variety of ways check out WP Nerds.
Next I created a squeeze page. You can see it here. I just did the bare bones but all told here is where it is and how long I have spent so far.
Money – $10 to purchase the PLR package.
Time
Install blog in folder and add the password protection plugin and a new theme and a couple banners ads- 15 minutes
Add content to blog – 15 minutes
Create new autoresponder account and form, add first 3 emails – 10 minutes
Create squeeze page and upload it – 20 minutes
Total time so far about an hour.
Now I only put up the bare bones and still need to do the following and the estimated time
Add the additional 7 lessons to the autoresponder – about 15 minutes as the only change will be the url and the PS
Set up balance of the 3 page web site to start monetizing the sign up process – as I have templates less than 30 minutes once I decide on monetization
Go back and add affiliate links into the content and possibly tweak the lessons but the quality was good enough to start – probably less than an hour
Start split testing squeeze pages – about 20 minutes
So a $10 purchase and an hour of time has allowed me to start a new list building system and blocking out one hour a day for the next 2 days will allow me to finish and start the testing process to improve the results.
There are two keys to making this work..
Get quality PLR articles to start like Nicole puts out at Easy PLR
Take action and just do it
If like me today you only have an hour right now get enough done to get it started and schedule the time to max it out after you are driving traffic. Now go get it done and remove digital dust if you have some quality PLR lurking in the recesses of your hard drive or find PLR for your topic and create a list building system today. You never have enough ways to get people on your list.

If you are like me I am sure that you have more than one package of PLR articles gathering digital dust on your hard drive. If they are not total crap (and some of the articles are believe me) there are ways to monetize them.
If they are really good quality like Nicole Dean puts out at Easy PLR, these are perfect for creating e-courses for your list building efforts. Being limited quantity and good quality makes it a no brainer when the topic is something I can use and have purchased more than one from her.
The key though is to actually use them and you may have some good quality on your hard drive right now that could become an e-course easily.
Then you may be a member of a monthly site like Expert Content Monthly where you receive 12 packages a month of articles on different topics.
Those types of article packages can be perfect for creating content sites in a variety of niches. But like everything else it takes a bit of effort and most importantly research. All niches are not created equal, at least when it comes to the money .
Next time I will walk through exactly how I use articles to create an e-course quickly and after that I will show you exactly how I use articles to create content sites to test a niche and then decide if I want to take it up a notch.

As you may know, Jimmy D. Brown basically invented List Marketing as we know it today. Ask any of the top marketers who they learned from and many will say him.
His course remains one of the best of its kind for teaching a List Marketing system to newbies (and even taught this seasoned marketer a thing or two).
If you haven’t hear of the List PROFIT System yet – check it out here:
(There’s a very good free report at the site entitled “6 Steps To 6 Figures With List Marketing” that you should grab a copy of if you haven’t already done so.)
He is also offering PLR rights to the course and he’s made a limited number of licenses available at this time.
1. A ready-made salesletter.
2. A download page.
3. A squeeze page.
4. A pre-sell report.
5. And, of course, a copy of the product itself
(PDF along with 5 bonuses)
If you’ve ever bought ANYTHING from Jimmy before, then you know that his materials are FIRST RATE and you’ll almost certainly recoup your investment with your very first promotion.
If you want this, I’d encourage you to go buy one right now. They’re selling fast.
