Private Label Rights – Tools you need

PLR or private label rights can be an excellent way to grow your business but you did need a few things to leverage them properly.

First and foremost you need some type of web presence. This means you need to have a web site that you control. You will need to get a hosting account and buy a domain. I use Go Daddy for domains and recommend The Marketers Hosting for your sites because you can add multiple domains, you get an autoresponder, tracking and an affiliate program all for $20 a month. Now you won’t need anything but the hosting to start but you will need the rest once you start growing your business.

Next you will need to be able to edit and work with word documents and convert them to pdf format. The easiest way when you are starting is to use Open Office which is open source and has a price that I like – free. This will allow you to edit the documents you get and put them into a format to easily deliver on line. Now as you grow you may want to invest in more robust software such as Microsoft Word and Adobe but to start there is no reason to invest initially.

You will need an image software and Gimp cam get you started and like Open Office it is open source and free. Now eventually you will want to upgrade to Photoshop but Gimp will work to get you started. If you have a few dollars to invest I do recommend Marlon Sander’s Design Dashboard as it will help you to understand designing graphics through step by step tutorials along with how to edit and create web pages.

Speaking of web pages that is the next item you will need and HTML editor. Now there are a wide variety of options here. If you are good with HTML all you really need is notepad to edit your pages. Now for most it is better to use an editor. Dreamweaver is probably the best known but is pricey and the learning curve can be steep. To get started the Free Website Builder will get you started and make it easier for you.

Finally you will need an FTP program. FTP is file transfer protocol and allows you to move files from your computer to your web host. There are literally hundreds of different FTP programs available but Filezilla is open source, free and there are lots of tutorials available on how to use it.

This list will get you started on the tools and do not forget two others that you will use a lot when you get stuck. Google and You Tube. When you have a question try these two sources to get answers.

After all the important thing is to actually complete things even if they aren’t perfect. You will improve them as you go.

Golf Niche Package

Golf is a very lucrative niche. I should know as I spend quite a bit each year on trying to be a golfer. (Not sure what I do can really be called golf ;) )

The point is that golf fits one of the major criteria when you are looking for a niche – people spend money – lots of money.

Now to properly attack a niche especially very profitable niches you need to…

  • find the areas where you can compete easily
  • create content to draw traffic
  • build a list of interested prospects
  • have a way to monetize it

The golf niche package just released by Teri Champigny meets all of these requirements. Here is what it includes…

  • The Beginners Guide To Golf – A MRR package with 26 page ebook and audio
  • Golf Secrets Uncovered – MP3 with transcript of an interview with PGA Pro Michael Robichaud! with giveaway rights and a complete squeeze page system
  • 25 Private Label Rights Articles
  • 3 WordPress blog themes with private label rights

First I do the keyword research and found over 30 keywords on beginners golf and golf tips where there is sufficient traffic and not a lot of competition so the first item is checked.

The content to draw traffic is there in the plr articles. Check again.

Squeeze pages and an ethical bribe are included so we can check that off too.

Add in the number of affiliate programs available in the niche and you have a great place to get started. Here is a quick search for golf affiliate programs.

With those numbers it will not be hard to find items to promote to a list you build on this topic. So looking at the 4 items on the check list monetizing this will be easy. So we have a way to monetize this in more than one way. This package meets all of the criteria I use. Now what can we do to put this together in a complete system?

Here is a quick look at how you can set this up.

bubblus New Sheet

Set up a blog using one of the WordPress themes. Populate it with some content using the PLR articles adapted to the keywords you created. Use the same articles to create backlinks with the article directories (I recommend and use Article Marketer to save time) and do rewrites to create some web 2.0 properties like Squidoo, Hub Pages, et al. This will start traffic coming to your site.

Link your blog to the squeeze page with your ethical bribe (the audio with PGA Pro Michael Robichaud). This will get you subscribers to your autoresponder (I use and recommend AWeber) which will send them to your download page. This links to your sales page for the MRR product. You should also send a couple of follow up emails to get your new subscribers to check out your product.

Now start sending newsletters and tips that have links to the affiliate products that you have found and like. If you want to take it a step further and I usually do then post your newsletter on the blog and send people there. This gives you even more content to draw more visitors from the search engines.

So this Golf Niche Package has every thing you need except the keyword research and if you purchase it through my link I will give you the keyword research I have already done. So here is your to do list.

Grab the Golf Niche Package

Submit a support ticket with a copy of your receipt to get the keyword package

Apply the plan I have laid out.

Per new FTC requirements links to products listed here are affiliate links and do pay me if you purchase anything.

Are you using the PLR you purchase?

Question you need to answer – How much PLR do you have sitting on your hard drive taking up space that you have not used?

I have quite a bit but of late have definitely gotten to the point that I …

  • Have a plan for any private label rights product before I purchase or even download it
  • Have a schedule to get it up and running in a set time frame

Letting it sit is not an option.

In most cases any PLR I purchase or download is put to use inside a week. The only exception is where I have a project on my project board for a specific topic. In that case I may grab PLR that I will be able to use with that specific project but I always have a use for it.

Now why is it important to not be a hoarder but a user?

Files sitting on your hard drive have no value to your business. Actually using your PLR and getting up whether it be as a new lead capture system or as a product you can sell is the key to growing your business.

Stop hoarding PLR and start using it. If you are not sure how to do that I strongly recommend that you grab Doug Champigny’s PLR Tutorials and apply what is there and get your business growing.
