Using PLR For Creating List Building Systems
List building is the lifeblood of your marketing and private label rights can help you do this quite quickly. Here is an example step by step that I will be using.
This morning I decided to see what I could find so I went to my account at Resell Rights Fortune and decided to do a search and see what I could find. (One of the things I like about RRF is the ability to be able to search the data base.) I wanted a product with private label rights that I could give away.
I found Create A Product In 5 Steps. As you can see if you click the link, go ahead I’ll wait….. Welcome back. It is a poor sales letter and the author put a $17 price tag. I changed that to $7, added a payment button, a download page (which it did not have), add my bonus link folder to the download (a neat trick to lay affiliate landmines I got from Doug Champigny’s PLR Tutorials and it is up you can buy it.
Now I priced it for $7 because I was not going to do anything with it. I could have created a better sales letter and good graphics, added a bit to the information along with my own links and had a product that would be worth $17 -$27 easily without PLR attached.
See the content in the book is good and the person that put it together has created some good information that is helpful but no idea how to actually sell it. Now to get back on track.
The information in there will be perfect for creating a report to build my list. Now in my case I have two products that the information can be slanted too. I just launched the Keyword Call product and previously I launched the Niche Affiliate System.
I will take the information, repackage it to attract people interested in either of those two products and use it as a gift from my squeeze page. A solid squeeze page with a first rate graphic will give me a new list building source. I can drive traffic any number of ways such as use the new report in a giveaway, do ad swaps with other marketers, create some articles (guess where the research will come from
) or in my case probably all 3.
Then I set up a follow up series to promote both of my products and anything else related to those topics including appropriate affiliate offers.
Even if you do not have a product you can find a PLR product that has giveaway rights, use it to create your own report and have a new list builder ready to go quite quickly.
If you are not building your list the above is a perfect way to easily get started.

Mike,
Some great ideas on how easy it is to take a plr product, make some very minor changes and then add it to your funnel.
The steps you take may seem a bit daunting or confusing to a newbie, but once you have done the process once or twice, it becomes easier.
Keep up the good work.
Using tools like Resell Rights Fortune, it makes it a low easier to quickly find good products that you can use to build your list and make more sales. Like you said, if you can add some value to it, like videos and change the sales page, you can really have a new product very soon.

Nice tips Mike, I’ve always wanted to dip my hand into PLR but for some reason I never did. Maybe this will push me a little further towards doing something with all that junk in my hard drive!

Some really good tips in there and some I know I should be using. I like everyone else probably has lots of PLR gathering dust on the hard drive. This is an awesome way to put some of it to use. Thanks.

The beauty of any PLR product is that you can use it many different ways. You listed already some amazing things you can do with a cheap, incomplete, but basicly sound product. Whatever you do with it, it becomes your unique own product. That beats any resell product.
Great suggestions Mike.

There are two really valuable lessons in this post that people shouldn’t miss – the first being that you can do really well with Resell Rights products by improving the salespage that comes with it, since most users won’t put in the effort.
The second is that these days you need a squeeze page & an ‘ethical bribe’ – a free download on the same or related topic to get people to your salespage, and to be able to follow up with them whether they bought or not.
Like you, Mike, I find Resell Rights Fortunes to be the best source of materials for reselling, free reports etc., when time doesn’t permit me to create my own.

I never really “got” PLR, as far as real content goes. I suppose if you’re selling (or giving it away as a product) then it’s fine (although with the wide range of products out there, I never understood why so much is needed).
But for mailing lists, it seems a bit flat to do anything overly useful in creating a healthy list, and as far as blog posts/articles go, I never got why Google hasn’t made a “duplicate content” mess for folks who use that (yet). Could you explain further?
To create a list you need some type of “ethical bribe”. The bribe needs to qualify people for what you are going to sell. So if I intend to sell niche marketing having a free giveaway that people interested in that type of thing is key. The sections in the product I found would be a great way to do that. Now I am attracting the specific people that are interseted in the topic not just general people and I saved a lot of research time.
I will do some re-writing and make it in my style but I got a great head start. What I won’t do is just give it away as is.
Great tips on how to use PLR to build your list. Use a plr report with giveaway rights to gain subscribers and then use more plr content as an autoresponder sequence. Of course as you’ve mentioned in the past it’s best to make modify the emails to be in your own voice.
