Private Label Rights – Use Them Quickly
Private Label Rights – Use Them Quickly

Your mind set can make a huge difference in using private label rights products effectively. Personally, I feel and have found that if I get private label rights items I need to consume them in 24 hours.
If I do that, I don’t end up with a bunch of digital dust collectors on my hard drive. After all I am sure if you have been on line six months or more you have some of those on your hard drive too.
Here is how I try to do this. Yes, I said try. There are times that I will grab a package of PLR for an upcoming project and not use it immediately but I try to keep that to a minimum.
The first step is to create a folder to download the package to so I can find it easily. Now there are dozens of ways to categorize those but that would be an entirely new article. For our example we will use a folder called PLR with a sub folder of the topic. Download your purchase or gift to that folder you have created.
Unzip your file in that folder. This way all of the files will be in one place for that product.
Now each product will be different but most will have the web pages, a document file, may be a pdf and there always should be a license document. Make sure that you read the license before you start. This way you will be aware of all the terms.
If this were a private label rights ebook product there are three main things you will need to do before you can use the product as your own.
-
Edit the book
-
Change the graphics
-
Edit the pages
To get started open the word document in your favorite word processing software. Go through and read the book. Make notes as you read of what is good and what needs more clarification.
Make your additions and deletions to create a book unique to you. Add in appropriate affiliate links, add an about the author section and re-title the book to be unique.
Most private label rights packages come with the psd files to make editing the graphics easy. You can use your favorite graphics program to create a new look to your graphics. This is an area that for me I outsource it. Once I have the new book title and domain I will order up a new set of graphics.
Either way you will need to change the graphics to get the most from your product.
Finally you will edit the pages you receive. Adding in the graphics you changed and setting up your payment button are the must do items.
You may want to change the offer by adding a bonus or two that are unique to you. The more you do to make your product unique the more valuable it will be.
Now the first time you do this you probably will not be done in 24 hours but if you get in the habit of using private label rights products as soon as you get them you will find yourself with a lot less digital dust and more profit making sites.

Great advice… that I need to hear more often

I have way too much “stuff” on my computer, but at least I am getting better at using what I download.

This is some really good information for using PLR. I also like the idea about using it quick as it is easy to download something onto your hard drive and either forget about it or forgetting where you have put it. Thanks.

Some great points Mike, I also think that speed to the market is also important in how much you make off of the PLR product

Great video Mike!
You are so right!
I stopped downloading just everything.
So only those I feel I can use.
But then still it fills the drive.
Now I have been trying to immediate use it.
However often I want to change/improve the product too much and it never get finished.
So I will try your recommendation and get them out in 24 Hrs. Likely not as good as I want but at least they are out and I can always come back and improve further.
Thanks
Fred

Excellent plan you have here Mike,
One that I definitely need to follow it better myself.
I am certainly guilty of having more PLR than I can probably ever use. My problem is that there are so many niches that I am interested in that unfortunately I don’t know enough about just yet. Takes a little longer to research and redo the book than it would if it was something I was already familiar with.
Thanks,

Great post Mike, As simple as it seems, your suggestion on setting up a PLR files is a great one. I have items on my desktop, files by author and sometime niche. This leads to long searches and frustration. As to using it right away. It’s become my new discipline. I try not to buy it, unless I can actually put it down as a scheduled task on my calendar.

I know what you mean by having plr content collecting dust on my hard drive. I’ve spent hours to find and organize the files after the fact. Your suggestion to keep folders for each type of PLR is a good one. Finding time is always a challenge but creating a habit to do it right away will save you time in the long run.
Thanks for the tips

Mike, very good suggestions. My problem is that I can do 1 & 3 but it takes me a while to do it – longer than 24 hours. I really can’t do # 2 but I am trying to learn. Have outsource a couple of these. And you are right I have a lot of PLR on my hard drive.
