PLR Report Case Study From Purchase To Squeeze Page System
I talk a lot about using private label rights packages here and try to find those that are quality to review here. Today I wanted to go through exactly what I do when I grab a plr report. In this case I grabbed the report Nicole Dean released Accountability Partners for Internet Marketers:Creating Your Own Support Unit to Stay on Track to Achieve Success.
Now I am using this as it is the latest one I have used. The steps will be the same regardless. First I mind map what I am going to do. I used the software from Discover Freemind for that.
Obviously the first step was to buy and download the product. I then read through it and decided on my slant for the report.
Next I created a cover. This is something I often out source but in this case I actually did it myself. Either way it is usually the second thing I do.
Then I opened up the word document and started editing it. I added my cover to the title page, my name as author and edited the document with a few minor changes that reflected my view on things. Added some resources and an about me page and converted it to a pdf.
Now I needed a way to give it away and collect subscribers. I created a typical 3 page website (squeeze, thank you and download pages). Now if you are not familiar with this my partner and I do training sessions every week on getting started and you can find the details on the Get Referrals Fast Training blog.
Now one thing I skipped above is that I did need to set up the autoresponder to be able to create the squeeze page. I did this but did not start adding the email series until I had the report and the pages completed.
The reason for this and why I do it in this order is that I can make sure that I deliver anything I promise on the squeeze page through the series.
Again I start with a mind map of the series first.
Here is where I figure out what I will talk about and any ideas on what would fit in as a recommendation. At this point in time I only have the first 3 emails done and may change up the end of the series or the order as I continue writing.
The key is to get enough done as this is being delivered every other day that I can start on the next step – sending traffic. As long as I add one email each day this week it will be finished before anyone signing up today is ready for that email.
Now I can start sending people to the squeeze page (you can see the whole process if you sign up here) and I do not have this particular piece of plr collecting digital dust but actually up and working.
I try to get to this point in 24 hours after grabbing a plr pack. This one has been about a week but it is now up and can start working for me. Getting to this point as quickly as you can is the key to growing your business.
However, the most important part of the process is the last part. Now I need to test and tweak the process. I know the squeeze page is not as good as it can be. I may need to change the title, change the bullets or any number of things.
First though is to get it up and running. It aint got to be perfect it just has to be. I will continue to test and improve it but if I wait until I am 110% satisfied it will never be done.
After all even if the sign up rate is abysmal some will still sign up and as I improve it that will improve too.
If you want information on how an accountability partner will help you or just to see the actual process you can see the page here.

Thanks Mike for the detailed case study of what you do with PLR reports. There are so many different uses for them… I like hearing what other people do with them.
The most important lesson here isn’t in the steps, but the fact that you took action and got it online. Most people buying PLR products download them and never do anything with them – fortunately for people like you and me, that means a LOT less competition using these same reports!

Well, I really liked the steps. And the idea that this is a 24 hour task. At least to get it up and running. Do you let it sit a while to see how its going to perform, or do you start making changes once you have it up and running?
