Private Label Rights – Reuse Your Content More Than Once

Private label rights are a great way to generate more content. You can do numerous things with the content like creating a product, using them for articles but one of the least used is to create audios and videos from the content.
With the advent of the various podcasting sites like I Tunes, Podcast Alley and others and the various video sites like You Tube, Viddler, etc these can become a great way to generate additional traffic.
Few people do this because they think it is too hard or too expensive.
Let’s deal with the latter first – expense.
First apologies to the MAC users I know there are similar programs available on a MAC but because I have never used a MAC I will be discussing the how to in a Windows environment.
If your computer does not have a microphone you will need to buy one. It is a good idea to buy one of the USB microphones to improve the quality anyhow but you initially can get started with a regular microphone.
You can use a free program called Audacity for creating and editing your sound files. Create your files in mp3 format and you can use the files as a podcast. The easiest way to publish the podcast is using a WordPress blog with the Podpress plugin.
Next you will need a program to create power point slides. If you have Microsoft Office you can use that or you can download the Open Office software and use that.
Finally you will need a video program. I use Camtasia along with Microsoft Power Point because they integrate together but if you cannot afford Camtasia or Microsoft Office you can use Cam Studio with the presentation mode of Open Office to do the same thing.
So it obviously does not need to be expensive to do this.
It does not have to be hard either.
To create your audio you can just open Audacity hit the record button and speak your article into the microphone. Export it as an mp3. Upload the mp3, log in to your blog and create a post with the podcast. Submit your podcast feed to the various directories like I Tunes, Podcast Alley and others.
To do a video create a power point of the content. Do a screen capture of the power point while you speak the content. Publish it in one of the video formats that the video sites accept. Upload the video file to the video sites.
You have now taken the same information and made it available in multiple versions so you can draw traffic and build the relationship with more people and you are giving them the content in the format they prefer.
You can do the same thing to add value to a product that you create from private label rights by supplying it in audio and video formats instead of just providing a written version.

Hi Mike,
This is a very timely post. I’ve been wanting to try this but thought it would be difficult. I’ll be creating a video using your tips very soon. Thanks for your help.

Great post, Mike! FOr those wanting to take it up a notch, Sony bundles SoundForge and Sony Vegas into one product, giving the highest-end audio and video software together. But whether you use the free tools, the mid-range or the high-end versions, the main thing is to take action on it now!

Mike thanks for these comments and tips on creating videos. This is an area that I need to branch out into. Just haven’t had or taken the time to figure out all that is needed. I don’t have any resources that will accomplish the task – not even a mic. Well I think I have the program to do power point but have never used it. Thanks again for these tips. Keep them coming and over time I will work on getting some of them implemented.

It is surprisingly easy to do a podcast. It took a while to break through my own mental barriers, and then a bit of confusion in figuring out how audacity works, but from then on its a piece of cake and well worth doing.
You do a great job Mike with the videos you do for these blog posts. You make it look so easy, and reading through your steps, it is pretty easy to do.

Mike,
Great information. Great tips on how to repurpose PLR material. This is stuff I have read about and now have more specific instructions and can try it.
THANKS!
Ron
This is really good information. You have made what seems like a difficult process look so easy. But, I guess if it was everyone would be doing it. When doing the podcast do you have to change the content before you do the podcast or can you just use the PLR content that you get?

As always you break it down into, small simple steps. Certainly it makes me feel I can do too. Looking for my microphone again…
