Why your PLR is not making you any money
Some people can do quite well with grabbing private label rights or resell rights products and others just spend money. What is the factor that allows some to succeed and others to fail miserably?
The key is the 24 hour factor.
For me when I buy something my goal is to get it online in 24 hours.
-
Will it be perfect? No.
-
Can somebody actually buy it? You betcha.
Now the biggest killer for most people is the perfection monster.
It does not matter whether it is a blog post, an article, getting a page up most of us (and I am sometimes very guilty of this) spend more time getting ready to get ready then we do doing what needs to be done.
When you actually get things to the point where someone can buy them or sign up to them you now have a chance to succeed. When you stop and start your planning to make them perfect you may someday end up with a much better item but until that day comes around you can’t possibly sell it or get a signup.
So next time you grab a PLR product or resell rights product stop what you are doing and focus on that until it is online. Until it gets to that point you have no way to profit from it.
The first few times you try this you may find that it takes longer than you expect it to. It will but the more often you do it the faster it will become.
Once it is online you can continue to improve it and make it better. If you set up a squeeze page and it is not converting fix it. You sales page is not selling redo the copy.
These changes will be the key to really making money but the thing is that even if you “perfect” it you will still need to redo them and improve them.
In the mean time you have actually had something that can work online and available.
So take the pledge with me. I will not add things to the hard drive that don’t go online in 24 hours.
Follow that and see how much faster your business grows. After all even if it takes 48 or 72 hours you will still be way ahead of where you were.
If it is lack of knowledge that is keeping you from getting things online then I recommend you check out Doug Champigny’s PLR Tutorial Videos.

I’m guilty of the “perfection monster”. I often overthink and under do, it’s a trait that’s difficult to overcome but I now have a new mantra “I will not add things to the hard drive that don’t go online in 24 hours”.
I agree that it’s more important to get your product (plr or not) online and then fine tune it.
Great advice, thanks

Thanks for the shout-out on the PLR videos, Mike – they’ve helped hundreds of people make money with PLR now…
And your point about taking action is dead on – far too many marketers have gigs of PLR products they’ve never processed. To start, they should start mining that gold before buying any more PLR, then they should always process the PLR they buy as soon as they grab it.
Here’s one PLR power tip for your readers: If you have a big list it’s easy to market your new PLR-based product; If you don’t, then watch for PLR that let’s you give away the converted product. Use each to build yet another squeeze page and get it online fast, then use the social media sites to get traffic to it. Use it to build your lists while making money on the backend.
Hope it helps,
DC.

You are right on, Mike.
Maybe you should hold a contest and issue a challenge to people to get a buy button on their new product from PLR within 24 hours. That might cure the perfection monster!
Seriously, it does get easier and faster the more you do it – especially if you create templates.
Cheers,
Peggy Baron
That is a really good idea about getting that PLR online so fast. I admit I am really bad about getting something and holding on to it until I get everything right. I like the pledge but can I do it after I buy this real nice PLR I just saw but don’t know what I want to do with it.

Great advice Mike, as that’s something many of us struggle with. It’s not to say we have to put out garbage material, no, because we can always keep editing it and making it bigger and better.

When I first started on line PLR sounded like such a good idea. I collected an over supply of PLR, but did not know how to use it.
I could have used Dougs videos….he does such a great job teaching.
Stopping and getting it on line is a great idea. Stops the overwhelm.

Mike, you are so right on the nose with this post…
I am 100% guilty of buying a PLR product with the intentions of repurposing it and too often it doesn’t even get put up. Your suggestion of putting it online within 24 hours is a great one.
You don’t even have to have a domain for it to do that, just use one that you have and put it in a subdirectory for the time being until you can focus on a pertinent domain name.
Keep up the great work!
