Last post about using PLR articles I went through how I can use them for creating a new list building system. Today I’ll start (yes just start because it will be a multi-part series) on how I use them to create niche sites.

Now I belong to Expert Content Monthly and get 12 topics each month with about 25 articles on each topic. The first thing I do is start running each topic through Market Samurai to find out which ones look to be the most profitable.

Now you can do this without buying software and I went over how to do that in EZ Keyword Research but the time savings if you are doing this regularly make the purchase of quality software a no brainer.

For me I will usually do no more than 3 of the 12 and look for the topics that are generating the highest ad words cost at least initially.

Once I find a high paying topic the next step is to find 6- 8 keywords that are mid range competitive but the most profitable at least from the aspect what advertisers are willing to spend.

Each of those 6 – 8 keywords I will drill down further looking for profitable phrases with good traffic and low competition. If I can’t find long tail words that are relatively easy to rank for I will go to a different topic.

If I can find them I build my keyword tree. The keyword tree will look like this.

keywordtree

Then go look for a keyword rich domain on my topic. This is just the first step and will get into step 2 next time. Any questions or improvements you can suggest just leave a comment.
